South Suburban College G Rasheide Bell Commits To Kentucky Wesleyan


South Suburban College standout Rasheide Bell has decided to play for Kentucky Wesleyan.

Bell, a 6’2 guard, averaged 16.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest en route to leading South Suburban to a third-place finish at the NJCAA Division II national tournament.

Bell was named Region IV-A Co-Player of the Year.

Bell selected Kentucky Wesleyan over SIU-Edwardsville and Northern Illinois.

2017 Stevenson Wing Justin Smith Re-Commits To Indiana


Stevenson High School standout Justin Smith has decided to stick with his commitment to Indiana following a coaching change.

Smith met with new Indiana head coach Archie Miller last week. Smith is the top-rated recruit in Indiana’s 2017 recruiting class.

Smith competed on the Nike EYBL circuit with the Mac Irvin Fire.

Eastern Illinois Lands Wabash Valley College F Jujuan Starks


Eastern Illinois has picked up a commitment from Wabash Valley College standout Jajuan Starks.

Starks, a 6’4 forward, averaged 14.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this past season for Wabash Valley.

Starks played his high school basketball at Fort Wayne North Side (IN).

John A. Logan College G Jalen Perry Commits To UAB


John A. Logan College standout Jalen Perry has committed to play for UAB.

Perry, a 6’3 guard, averaged 19.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest this past season for John A. Logan.

Northern Kentucky, Illinois State and Washington State were also involved with Perry.

Perry was originally a Middle Tennessee State recruit.

SIU Picks Up A Commitment From Juco Post Kavion Pippen


Southern Illinois has picked up a verbal commitment from Three Rivers Community College (MO) standout Kavion Pippen.

Pippen, a 6’10 post, averaged 10.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest for Three Rivers this past season.

Pippen is the nephew of former Chicago Bulls standout Scottie Pippen.
