2017 Whitney Young G Lucas Williamson Set To Announce

Class of 2017 Chicago Whitney Young standout Lucas Williamson is set to announce his collegiate destination.

Williamson, a 6’4 guard, averaged 17.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest en route to helping to lead Whitney Young to the 4A state championship.

Williamson competed on the Nike EYBL circuit with Meanstreets.

2018 PG Ayo Dosunmu Adds Offer From Georgia Tech

Class of 2018 Chicago Morgan Park standout Ayo Dosunmu has now added a scholarship offer from Georgia Tech to his collection.

Dosunmu, a 6’4 guard, is the top-rated prospect in the Illinois 2018 recruiting class.

Dosunmu holds a long line of prior offers including Illinois, Northwestern, Cincinnati, Xavier, Texas A&M, Marquette and Iowa State to name a few.

Dosunmu competes on the Nike EYBL circuit with the Mac Irvin Fire.

2016 Illinois Mr. Basketball Charlie Moore Transferring From Cal

Former Chicago Morgan Park standout Charlie Moore has decided to transfer from Cal to play closer to home. Moore already has his release from Cal.

Moore was the 2016 Illinois Mr. Basketball.

Moore, a 5’11 guard, averaged 12.2 points, 3.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game as a freshman at Cal.

Moore competed on the Nike EYBL circuit with the Mac Irvin Fire.

Illinois Adds Ron "Chin" Coleman To Staff As An Assistant Coach


New head coach Brad Underwood has completed his coaching staff at Illinois with the addition of Ron “Chin” Coleman.

Coleman, who has deep Chicago recruiting ties, spent the past two years as an assistant coach at UIC. Coleman was an assistant coach at Bradley for three years prior to heading to UIC.

Coleman previously was on the coaching staff at Chicago Public League powerhouse Whitney Young, as well as a long coaching run with the Mac Irvin Fire.

Coleman joins Orlando Antigua and Jamall Walker on Underwood’s staff as assistant coaches.
