2017 Chicago Uplift G Demarius Jacobs To Re-Open His Recruiting

Class of 2017 Chicago Uplift standout Demarius Jacobs has decided to decommit from Southern Illinois and once again open up his recruitment.

Jacobs, a 6’2 guard, is an explosive athlete who can be plugged into a number of different roles on the floor. Prep school is a strong option.

Jacobs competed on the travel team circuit with ALL IN/Young & Reckless.

John A. Logan G Jalen Perry Picks Up UAB Offer

John A. Logan College guard Jalen Perry has picked up a scholarship offer from UAB.

Perry, a 6’3 guard, is a versatile backcourt talent who hails from the state of Kentucky. He was originally set to play for Middle Tennessee State ahead of ultimately landing at Logan College.

Perry is averaging 20.0 points per game on the season. He scored 30 points in wins over Lewis & Clark and Southwestern Illinois and 28 points against Vincennes during the month of February.

Western Illinois Lands 2017 Park Tudor (IN) PG Kobe Webster

Class of 2017 Park Tudor High School (IN) standout Kobe Webster has committed to play his college basketball for head coach Billy Wright and Western Illinois University.

Webster, a 6'0 point guard, is a versatile and savvy playmaker who can score the basketball in a variety of ways.

Webster joins a WIU class that already has Isaac Johnson (Minneapolis, MN) signed.

Webster competed on the travel team circuit with Pocket City.

Roosevelt Smart Commits To Arkansas State

Former Palatine and St. Viator standout Roosevelt Smart of New Mexico Junior College has committed to play for Arkansas State.

Smart, a 6’2 guard, was at one time committed to Loyola. He is averaging 18.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest at NMJC.

Smart competed on the travel team circuit with the Illinois Wolves as a prep.

Cam Irvin Picks Up Scholarship Offer From Mississippi Valley State

Class of 2017 Chicago Morgan Park standout Cam Irvin has now picked up a scholarship offer from Mississippi Valley State.

Irvin, a 5’10 guard, is known for his ability to knock down shots behind the three-point arc.

Mississippi Valley State has also put a recent offer in front of Irvin’s teammate Lenell Henry.

Irvin competed on the Nike EYBL circuit with the Mac Irvin Fire.
